In case you have no idea who I am or what I’m doing here are a few notes. My name is Lou, I’m 28 and live in the UK. I’m a self confessed Geek who worships at the altar of geniuses like Joss Whedon, Brian Fueller,, J.J Abrams. I basically watch a lot of TV, mostly sci-fi/drama and mostly American. I studied Film & TV at university so if you ever need an essay on Buffy and feminism I’m your girl.

When I’m not watching TV or trawling through DVD box-sets I’m usually geeking out over another love of mine, music. Artists such as Radiohead, Bat For Lashes, Manic Street Preachers, Pulp, The Verve, Jeff Buckley, The clash. I also run a fansite for New York rockers The Strokes and this was my first go at web design, five years on and going strong.

I love movies as well, anything from comic-book adaptations (Iron Man, Dark Knight, Sin City), foreign language (Delicatessen, The Life of Others), indie/low budget (This Is England, Donnie Darko), Pixar goodness and pretty much anything in between. My only movie hates are rom-coms, all out nothing-to-say action flicks.

My main TV fandom used to be Heroes but the show has been ruined for me  I currently have a lot of time for Lost, Doctor Who, The Middleman, Battlestar Galactica, Being Human, True Blood, Supernatural et al.

I’ve also in the past year become a graphic novel comic book addict
